Fursuit making
Within the fandom, there are hundreds of different fursuit makers, ranging from well established companies to people making the suits in their bedroom. Loads of people ask why these things are so expensive, or why they take so long to make. Well, a lot of time and effort goes into making a successful fursuit, not to mention the amount of money you have to spend on fur and supplies.
On average, it takes from about a week to a month to create just the head, depending on how skilled your maker is. From personal expirience, I tend to take about two weeks to create a head that is near perfect in my eyes. So please, don't try to rush us. We do have lives outside of our job which happens to be making peoples' fursonas come to life!
Next, is the money side of things. It costs about seven thousand dollars to buy a full fursuit, depending on your maker of course, which seems like a steep price, but you have to remember people make a living off of this stuff! Fursuit makers need to make somewhat of a profit, and the supplies are expensive! Foam alone is about thirty dollars for a half a roll. Not to mention the amount fur costs, plus shipping. Fursuit making is an art, fandom suits are made for you to have fun in, so respect them and their makers.
Information about me!
I was born and raised in a small town in Indiana, live with my mom, and attend high school. I have been in the fandom for a good 3 or 4 years, and have been making suits for 1 of those years. I've recently restarted. I don't have many fursuits out there, mostly because I've either lost track of who they went to or they've been decommissioned due to the patron breaking it. My fursuits are made by hand, in my bedroom. I'm always up to skype my customers, and take photos of the progress being made upon request! All I ask is that you are patient with me and not too demanding when it comes to me being around to talk, because I do have school, and I do have a life. Even though it may not seem like it.
About the suits! All suits come with a con badge, and bandana. I welcome you to contact me through email if you have any questions, and I would appreciate if when you fill out the commission form that you're serious about buying a fursuit, I AM ABLE TO NEGOTIATE PRICES! Don't think that all of the prices below are set without changes! Everyone deserves a chance to get a fursuit, and I want to help provide for people who may not be able to afford one.
You will also get a one year warranty added on, so if your fursuit breaks or tears (within reason), just send it back to me and I'll repair it for free!
